Ingredients
For the dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup milk (warm)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 egg

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add melted butter, egg, and the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Make the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Assemble the Rolls:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 1/4 inch thick).
- Spread a generous layer of vanilla cream filling over the dough.
- Roll the dough tightly from one edge to the other, then slice into rolls (about 1-2 inches thick).
- Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet. Let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.
- Bake:
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow them to cool slightly.
- Serve:
- Optionally, you can drizzle more vanilla cream over the top before serving.
