Receta de Ajo Marinado Casero (Detallada)

Ingredientes:

  • 1 cabeza de ajo (aproximadamente 10-12 dientes)
  • 1 cucharadita de sal fina
  • 1 cucharadita de pimienta negra molida
  • ½ taza de aceite de oliva virgen extra (puedes usar más para cubrir completamente el ajo)
  • 2-3 cucharadas de vinagre blanco o de manzana (ajusta según tu gusto)

Opcionales:

  • Hierbas frescas: ramitas de romero, tomillo, laurel o perejil.
  • Hierbas secas: orégano.
  • Especias: hojuelas de chile, semillas de comino o pimentón dulce.

Método paso a paso:

1. Preparar los dientes de ajo

  • Separar y pelar: Separa los dientes de ajo de la cabeza. Pélalos golpeándolos ligeramente con el lado plano de un cuchillo para que la piel se suelte fácilmente.
  • Opcional: Para suavizar el sabor del ajo, escáldalo. Hierve agua, sumerge los dientes por 30 segundos y enfríalos rápidamente con agua fría.

2. Esterilizar el frasco

  • Utiliza un frasco de vidrio limpio y seco con tapa hermética.
  • Esterilízalo hirviéndolo en agua durante 5 minutos y déjalo secar al aire.

3. Preparar la marinada

  • En un tazón, mezcla el vinagre, la sal y la pimienta negra molida hasta que la sal se disuelva.
  • Si usas hierbas o especias adicionales, agrégalas en esta etapa.

4. Montar el frasco

  • Coloca los dientes de ajo en el frasco de vidrio. Si usas hierbas frescas, intercala capas de ajo con las hierbas para distribuir el sabor.
  • Vierte la mezcla de vinagre sobre los ajos para impregnarlos bien.

5. Agregar el aceite de oliva

  • Vierte suficiente aceite de oliva para cubrir completamente los ajos. Este paso ayuda a conservarlos mejor y les da una textura suave y cremosa.

6. Cerrar y reposar

  • Cierra el frasco herméticamente y agítalo ligeramente para mezclar los ingredientes.
  • Deja reposar en el refrigerador al menos 24 horas antes de consumir. Para un sabor más intenso, déjalo reposar 3-5 días.
