Estofado de Carne: ¡Un plato clásico y delicioso!

Ingredientes:

2 libras de carne, cortada en trozos del tamaño de un bocado

2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva

1 cebolla grande, picada

3 dientes de ajo, picados

4 zanahorias, cortadas en rodajas

3 patatas, cortadas en cubos

4 tazas de caldo de res

1 cucharadita de tomillo seco

1 hoja de laurel

Sal y pimienta al gusto

1 taza de guisantes congelados

Perejil fresco picado (para decorar)

Instrucciones:

  1. Dorar la carne: Calienta el aceite de oliva en una olla grande a fuego medio. Añade los trozos de carne y dóralos por todos lados, aproximadamente 5-7 minutos.
  2. Sofreír las verduras: Agrega la cebolla picada y el ajo a la olla. Cocina durante 3-4 minutos hasta que la cebolla esté tierna y translúcida.
  3. Incorporar las zanahorias y las patatas: Añade las zanahorias en rodajas y las patatas en cubos. Remueve bien para mezclar todo.
  4. Agregar el caldo y los condimentos: Vierte el caldo de res asegurándote de cubrir todos los ingredientes. Espolvorea el tomillo seco, añade la hoja de laurel y sazona con sal y pimienta.
  5. Cocinar a fuego lento: Lleva la mezcla a ebullición. Luego, reduce el fuego a bajo, tapa la olla y deja cocinar a fuego lento durante 1.5 a 2 horas, hasta que la carne esté tierna.
  6. Añadir los guisantes: Aproximadamente 5 minutos antes de servir, incorpora los guisantes congelados y deja que se calienten.
  7. Servir y decorar: Retira la hoja de laurel, sirve el estofado caliente en tazones y decora con perejil fresco picado.
